Indie Game // Mid-brief Reflection

At this stage in the brief, we wanted to ensure that we were still on track and to formalise the plans we had for the direction of this project moving forward.




 Firstly, we documented exactly what we have done in terms of both research and design. Then we made a list of what we hope to achieve by the end of the brief. This helped us plan the week ahead:


We planned out a structure for our style guide, that is an adaptation of the "10-pager", a document used by game developers to communicate the different elements of a game at design stage. We found a structure in Level Up: the Guide to Great Video Game Design by Scott Rogers and changed it to communicate more of the design elements rather than game mechanics.

Here was a brainstorm of promotional products we could produce. From these we will eliminate unnecessary products and concentrate on those that will improve our convention stall and product pack.
